And like a parent desperate to find a missing child, she was willing to do what seemed unthinkable, even impossible. She could not accept simply standing still while her daughter was gone.

So she gave them wings.

Del Angel captures one of those winged Sirens in metal, carrying a lyre and rising between the worlds of sea and sky. Her wings are not ornamental. They exist because a mother refused to stop searching for her daughter.

That is where Wings For A Lost Daughter finds its connection to the resilience and endurance that run through Del Angel's work. It is not resilience without pain. It is the kind born from love, the determination to keep searching when the person you love is somewhere beyond your reach.

The Sculpture

The wings were constructed from individual sheet-metal drops, heated and hand-rubbed with brass to create their warm golden surface. Layered welds create the texture of the feathers.

Behind the Siren rests a lyre formed from brass bar, with fine MIG welding wire used for its strings. Her steel tail carries colors developed through heat, while the figure rests upon natural river stone, bringing together elements of earth, sea, and sky.

Artwork Details

Artist: Enrique Del Angel
Year: 2026
Dimensions: 16" H × 8" W × 13" D
Medium: Contemporary metal sculpture / assemblage
Materials: Steel, sheet-metal drops, brass, MIG wire, reclaimed components, and natural river stone
Finish: Automotive clearcoat
Inspiration: Demeter, Persephone, and the winged Sirens of Greek mythology

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0890/9121/1631/files/wings-for-a-lost-daughter-metal-sculpture-enrique-del-angel.jpg?v=1779164600
