There are fishermen who wait patiently for the fish to bite.

And then there is El Pescador.

Forged from a reclaimed railroad spike and planted firmly on a steel base, he looks like he's spent a lifetime around the water. No fancy equipment. No complaints. Just a rod, a line, and the confidence that sooner or later...

Ya picó.

Fishing runs deep in my family. I come from generations of fishermen and hunters, where fishing villages and life along the water were simply part of everyday life. El Pescador is a playful nod to those roots, and to the fishermen who seem tough enough to weather anything the water throws at them.

Cut, heated, bent, welded, and shaped by hand, the original railroad spike remains unmistakable. The scars and texture of the steel aren't hidden. They belong there.

Please note: Each El Pescador is individually handcrafted from reclaimed materials. Variations in the railroad spike, pose, welds, texture, finish, and other small details ensure that no two are exactly alike. These differences are part of the handmade nature of each sculpture.

Because El Pescador isn't supposed to look polished and delicate.

He looks like he fishes.
