A butterfly has long been a symbol of transformation, but this sculpture tells two stories.
The first is the transformation of reclaimed steel. Once discarded, forgotten, and left to rust, it has been given a new purpose and a new life.
The second belongs to us.
Life has a way of placing us in our own cocoon. Sometimes it is fear. Sometimes disappointment. Sometimes we simply convince ourselves that it is too late to pursue the life we were meant to live.
This butterfly is a reminder that we have been in our cocoon long enough.
